Here is a clip of Curtis performing at The Hastings Set’s “Everybody’s Party”. He threw down with a half hour set that blew us away.

Second of all big ups to Curtis Santiago who devastated the party with his incredible performance and of course love & electrik who killed everyone with the vanity6 cover . So “Everybody’s Party” has come and gone and it looked like all of Vancouver’s good people showed up once again…and then some! While the rest of the city was pounding the pavement we took it underground shaking the foundation up.
Nina Mendoza opened up the night to set the mood right for the celebration. Then our main squeeze DJ Bles-sed along with guest DJ Gerald MF’n C proceeded to turn it out. Good friends: Jr. Flo (Eh! Team DJs – Toronto) and Rob Rizk (Experience Long Weekends) also blessed the soundsytem to cap off the night/ introducing us to the morning.
A Hastings Set Party wouldn’t be a Hastings Set Party without dope Live performances: a jam session with full band led by our peeps Omar Khan and Benjamin Arce …and DAMN were we fortunate to have Love & Electrik and Curtis Santiago come down and do their DAMN THING! (thanks for being patient at the Load-in guys and gals!) They showed us raw, live, original and innovative artists are alive and kickin…and shit…it’s right here.

The Hastings Set.
The 150th Anniversary of BC has come and gone…151 will be here again in 364 days.
Chin did his damn thing on the Best of BC stage backed up on drums by our man Egypt (check out his special skills on the blog entry below) and on viola by Ms. Bethany Brown (happy belated birthday!) After a sunny and hot weekend in movie-esque Victoria (this city seriously looks like its from a movie set at times) we jumped on the ferry back to Vancouver on Sunday. Unfortunately we missed our girl Kinnie Starr play the next day but we know she did it and did it well. Apparently the Wu-Tang Clan didn’t show up (see the last blog entry here) British royalty didn’t show up either.
